Moser Awards 2021
Alexandre Mösching and Sebastian Arnold have received the C. Moser Award for outstanding doctoral dissertations or master theses at IMSV.
Alexandre Mösching obtained the award for his doctoral dissertation entitled "Distributional Regression under Shape and Order Constraints". He defended his thesis in 2020 and has since taken up a position at University of Göttingen.
Sebastian Arnold was honoured for his master thesis with the title "Isotonic Distributional Approximation". The IMSV is fortunate to have him continue on as a PhD student.
The C. Moser Award was initiated in 2002 on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the IMSV. It is named after the founder of the institute, Prof. Dr. Christian Moser (1861-1935) whose grand-daughter's generous endowment made the award possible. The C. Moser Award has since been presented twelve times.
